Geolympic originated from two simple geometric letter strokes for each glyph, very likely unconsciously inspired by the famous lettering giants of sixties posters. Wim Crouwel’s geometric works, such as the exhibition poster for Edgar Fernhout in Eindhoven’s Van Abbe Museum in 1963, are possibly stored somewhere in haendehoch’s subconsciousness.

Geolympic is available in six styles: the foundational Romain, a detached stencil version called Pochoir, and a delicate hairline style appropriately named Airligne. These three styles also have italic versions. These styles can function as powerful display type for posters, logo designs, titles, quotes or bigger leads.
